I'm a graphic designer, and a friend bought me one of the Halftoys dinosaurs about a year ago as a gift. He thought I would love the clean, simple designs... and he was right. I purchased the Halftoys Ocean bundle since sea critters are my second favorite thing after dinosaurs. The toys themselves are very well made and beautifully designed. The designs are simple but incredibly thoughtful, the colors are subtle and appealing, and the mildly textured plastic is very pleasant to hold and fidget with. The diorama backdrops are very well made and fun to assemble. Keep in mind the animal and ocean dioramas are an improved design over the dinosaurs. If I had one suggestion, it would be that for any future Halftoys that doesn't stand on its own legs, please make a plastic stand for them. The current ocean toys come with a stand, but it is a cardstock stand that is assembled from the same stock as the diorama, and aren't super-sturdy. The toys should be able to stand on their own and a nicer stand for legless animals would help the overall visual appeal. They may seem a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for and are well worth it.

HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE SET FROM THIS COMPANY. They just keep releasing these awesome toys. Can't believe they're not mainstream yet... I absolutely love the turtle. There's something about their toys and I can't quite pin point it. Is it the diorama, magnet, design, etc... ALL OF IT?? It's one of those things that just makes you wanna grab it all the time. Learnplay please make more toys! Your toys are underrated.
The only thing I'm sad about is that they don't release them soon enough and most of their toys are always sold out.

Love these toys. They can withstand some rough toddler activity but still look amazing, and provide much entertainment in our household. Please make baby sea creatures as well!!!!

I purchased the ocean set for myself and my work colleagues who work at a museum in Hawaiʻi. This was a surprise for them in the midst of the inability to come to work and be together in service of our audiences (primarily school-age children and off-island visitors) and raised their spirits.

We have all the sets. But I think this one is my favorite. Those Dino’s though..... This ocean series is simply beautiful. The slight color differences, the small bumps on the humpback, the way the turtle shell wraps around, are all great touches. I bought a second set for my son who is a marine biologist.
